Who we are
Our Story
Hope Church Henniker was planted through prayer and partnership. In 2017, a handful of people from River of Grace Church met in Henniker to pray for the good news about Jesus to spread in the town. In 2019, the DeLorme and Sheard families got connected with River of Grace and joined them in their prayers and planning for the start of a new gospel-centered church.
There were a few years of waiting on God as we prayed for the Lord of the Harvest to send more laborers (Luke 10:2). He answered those prayers by gathering a planting team from a partnership between River of Grace and Christ Community Church in Weare. And in the fall of 2024, a core team of 20 adults and 18 kids formed with the intent to plant.
On March 9th, ROG and CCC gathered to commission HCH as a new church. As our story unfolds, we hope to never lose sight of how we got where we are; prayer and partnership. We need Jesus and we need each to thrive on mission! We hope to tell a faithful story with our lives that shows Henniker and the surrounding towns how good Jesus really is.

Our hope is to see the glory of Christ shine brightly in Henniker and beyond through changing hearts, cultivating healthy households, creating local culture, planting churches, and preparing the next generation.
